Rodrigo Gruñon is an old, lonely recluse living in a colorful, dull, isolated little land deep within the South American tropics – but, for the elderly hermit, his little spot of Earth seems far, far too populated... Why? Because the old man, preoccupied by the haunting memory of a lost love, is continually cursed by people who steal pears from his beloved pear tree. Then, one day, an encounter with a mysterious visitor puts a magic curse on the pear tree that changes the old man’s life and the world itself.
Come and join us for an exciting, fresh, fully-staged new musical fable with a 5-piece orchestra and something in it for everyone. With a funny, creative, and thought-provoking script by Connecticut playwright Colin Speer Crowley, fresh from a London premiere - a tuneful, feet-tapping, Latin music score by Paul Robert Bartsch, composer of over 9 successful book musicals - and sleek direction by Shawn Amdur, former President of Troupers Light Opera Company and director of several musicals - "One Little Wish" is guaranteed to leave you singing and dancing out of the theater!

First, we will be presenting a sung-through version of "One Little Wish" at The Lambs Club in New York City on Monday, November 12 to a specially invited audience. The Lambs Club is the oldest professional theatrical society in the United States.
Second, we will be presenting a fully staged production of "One Little Wish" at the charming Wilton Playshop in Wilton, CT, on Friday, November 16, Saturday, November 17, and Sunday, November 18.
Third, we will be culminating our production cycle with a fully staged production at the Katharine Hepburn Cultural Arts Center ("The Kate") in Old Saybrook, CT on Friday, November 23, Saturday, November 24, and Sunday, November 25.
